Chapter 1
The big move
“Mom, Mike’s kicking me!”I yelled. It seems like I been saying that my whole life. “Mom mikes doing this, Dad Mikes doing that”. “Am not” “Are too”, “Mike and Nellie stop that”. Dad yelled “Your baby sister’s sleeping”. “Why do we have to move to Arizona?” asked Sara, as she pulls her dirty blond hair in to a pony tail. “Because” said Mom. “Your dad got fired and we found a computer job there.” “But there are no malls, or movie theaters. What are we suppose to do on the weekends?” I asked. “Play with friends” Dad said. “Where, there are no houses anywhere near 5 miles from one house to another, plus there’s a school 20 miles away and its summer.” Said mike as he started kicking Sara. “Stop that” Sara cried “Mike stop or you will be grounded when we get there!” said Dad, as he made a sharp turn on to a dirt road. “Cry baby” Mike whispered. “Why did we have to drive there, why can’t we fly?” I asked “Because, we can’t afford it.” said Dad. “Here we are.” Mom said as we pulled in to a house 10 times bigger than a town home in the city. “And you can afford this?” Mike said astonished. Just then a girl that was about 27and had dark black hair that was cut to her chin came out. She was wearing a baby blue dress with a white apron. “Sara, get Christy out of her car seat.”Mom said as she got out of the car along with Dad to get the stuff out of the trunk. The girl went to help mom and dad and got my purple and black suit case (I bought it to match my purse), Mike’s Bee-bee gun bag, and Christy diaper bag. It look like Mom tried to help, but the girl refused, and then ran inside as fast as a jet. “Mike, please open the door” Sara asked holding the little sleeping Christy. “No”, “Why?” “Because you have two hands use them, that’s why they’re there.” “Mike, open the door.” I said getting my backpack. “Why?”Asked Mike. “Because, I’m 12 and it’s nice.” “Fine” said Mike as he opened the door and Sara carefully got out making sure not to wake up Christy but she failed. “Wan” “wan” cried Christy as Dad came as fast he could. Mike jumped out and ran as fast as he could to the house and ran right up stairs probably looking for the biggest room to call his own. “Like Mike said, how did we afford this?” I asked jumping out of the smelly van. “We inherit it from my great great aunt Sally” said Mom as she got Christy from Dad. “When is Aunt Beth bringing Buster and Mary?” asked Sara getting her duffel bag from the roof of the van. “In two days.” Said Dad helping Sara down. “Come on Sara, let’s go find the biggest room before Mike does.” I said running towards the house. “Hey wait for me” yelled Sara chasing after me.
Chapter 2
The twin
“Got to find the biggest room, got to find the biggest room.” I thought. “Oh this looks like the biggest let’s see the view” I ran to the window and looked out. It showed the front yard and all the people “Oh no, Sara and Nellie are coming to find the biggest room before I do, not if I Claim it first.” I hurried and spat on the floor. “Ha” I said as soon as they came running up the stairs. “No fair” they said as they saw my spit on the floor. “You left your backpack in the van” Nellie as she threw my back pack on the floor by my feet. “Have you seen the girl” asked Sara. “No, wait do you mean the girl who got all our bags?” I asked picking up my back pack. “Ya, what other girl?” “Then no.” just than there was a girl that had the body shape like Nellie, but was wearing old fashion clothes standing behind them. I couldn't make out the facial features. “Who’s your friend?” I asked. “What friend?” Asked Sara. “The one standing…” then all of a sudden she was gone, like she was never there. Sara and Nellie turned around at the same time. “Mike, I think you’re just seeing things” said Sara. “Ya, maybe all that driving from New York made you crazy. Oh wait you already are!”Said Nellie than Sara and Nellie started laughing at Nellie’s joke. “Come on Nellie let’s leave Captain Crazy and his imaginary friend alone!” said Sara after they were done then they started laughing again and they stared up the stairs. “Hey I’m not crazy!” I yelled up the stairs. Sara turned around “Yeah, that’s coming from the guy who jumped off the roof and landing on grandma’s car knowing he was going to break his legs and you did.” She said turning and running up the stairs and catching up with Nellie. “I saw something I know I did” I said under my breath.
Chapter 3
The room fit for a princess (and elephants)
“Found one” yelled Nellie from the 3 Th floor I put down Jelly's Circus and ran down stairs. Me and her have been looking around the house and here is a list we made of the things we found.
Each floor has at least 2 library's.
there is 4 floors (not including the basement).
we have 28 servants and 16 maids.
that girl who got our bags her name is Shadie Archibald she is the boss of the servants and maids.
“I'm coming” I said running down the stairs. “Where are you?” “As soon as you get down the stairs 3th door on you right” she said. I ran down the hall as soon as I entered I was amazed. “Wow” I said. It had like..... EVERYTHING a princess would have. It still had a bed and the bed had a sheet on top of it and had curtains on the bed post on both sides and the end so you can put them down and have your own little room. It looked like it was a king sized bed and it also had two nightstands with a lamp that was shaped like elephants sitting with their trunks holding up the shade that was a light pick with some light purple and some light gray I think. The wallpaper was old fashion and was pink with flowers. The floor was a pearl white like it was brand new. In the corner was a rocking chair and also had a toy box with a whole lot of dolls and stuffed animals on top of it. There was a doll house with some furniture and dolls and a wooden box I thought held all the rest of the doll house stuff. There was a dresser and oh I forgot there was a gray, well I think velvet elephant on the bed. The bed didn't have any sheets or pillows just the elephant lying on its back.“I call it” I said and spat on the carpet though I wish I didn’t do it because it was such a beautiful floor. “You can have it, its to girlie for me” said Nellie as she ran out the door and up the stairs I think. I ran and tried to open the drawer on the nightstand. It wouldn't move, I pulled harder, it still wouldn't move. “ I think Dad can pry it open with his crowbar” I said out loud, but in a soft voice. I ran to the other nightstand, I pulled as hard as I can thinking in was stuck too, but it slipped
on it rails as smoothly as skates on a frozen pond and almost slipped off its rails, but didn't. I fell on my bum and gave myself a headache. I jumped up so fast I almost passed out, I ran to the drawer and looked inside. It was empty, but in the corner was a key. It was the size of my Dad's little finger. “ But where does it go?” I asked myself. I closed the drawer, I looked around, but there was no key holes anywhere in the room maybe there is a key hole at the other dresser I went over there and around it but there was no keyhole. “Well, maybe I’ll find it later.”
chapter 4
“wow I never knew running up stairs would be so tiring” I thought. usually I walk up the stairs because when I was little was running up the stairs and tripped and fell and there was a needle on the the stairs and in fell face down on it on it went in to my eye it was went mom was still pregnant with Mike and we had to rush to the hospital
